when getting ready to come to the

when north winds prevail.
Summer daytime
temperatures are hot, with highs
in the 90's, and several days
of 100 degrees or more can be

In the spring,
its not uncommon that thunderstorms
become violent, and tornadoes
are a possibility.
Winter precipitation
is limited, usually falling as
light rain, freezing rain, sleet
or light snow.
Winter cold
fronts, heralded by strong, gusty
winds and sudden drops in temperature
(Northers) are common but brief.
Sunshine and southerly winds soon
displace them.
The average
annual snowfall is 1", and it
rarely remains on the ground for
more than 2-3 days.
Relative humidity
ranges from 50% - 82% most of
the year.

a year, reaching peak in May.
Rapid weather
changes characterize spring, as
cool spells and warming trends
move through the area in rapid
succession.
Fall generally
brings fair skies and moderate
temperatures.
